유/무기 나노복합소재 연구실에서는 나노미터 크기 수준에서 유기물과 무기물의 성질을 모두 가지는 복합체를 제조하는 기술 개발에 대한 연구를 수행하고 있다. 이 나노복합체는 구형, Rod, Tube와 같이 다양한 형태로 제조될 수 있으며 응용분야 또한 전지, 환경, 광학, 촉매, Biotechnology 등등 매우 광범위하다. 본 연구실에서는 이러한 나노복합소재를 제조하는 기술로서 계면활성제가 형성하는 Microstructure의 제어, Sol-Gel Chemistry, Thiol 화합물과 금속 간의 배위결합, Core-Shell 구조 형성을 위한 코팅 등등을 이용하고 있다.
